A visionary strategist, a three-time founder, and a builder of businesses that scale—not just in numbers, but in purpose and impact.
Across a career spanning more than 20 years, Thomas Engler has stood at the intersection of technology and transformation. From fintech to mobility, from insurance to AI-powered SaaS, he has reshaped business models, led digital revolutions, and turned bold ideas into operational realities. But behind his track record of P&L success, M&A mastery, and global team leadership lies a deeper story: a mind trained not only to analyze, but to synthesize.
Before launching his entrepreneurial journey, Thomas held a senior leadership role at Foyer Group in Luxembourg, one of the country’s leading insurance and asset management firms. As Head of Marketing and E-business, he was entrusted with full P&L responsibility and led strategic digital transformation initiatives—merging marketing with tech to modernize customer engagement across platforms. He launched top-ranked mobile apps, initiated CRM strategies reaching over 100,000 users, and helped drive the Group’s diversification into banking. It was here, in the heart of a regulated industry, that he learned to lead at scale—balancing innovation with precision.
That leadership experience laid the groundwork for what came next. During his MBA at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto (2013–2015), Thomas deepened his strategic acumen. Majoring in Investment Banking and specializing in Integrative Thinking, he immersed himself in Rotman’s world-class problem-solving framework. Under the mentorship of thinkers like Roger Martin and David Beatty, he sharpened a decision-making mindset built for ambiguity, contradiction, and high-stakes growth. Rotman didn’t start his training—it accelerated it. It connected his entrepreneurial instinct with structured reasoning, ethical ambition, and a powerful, global network.
That foundation powered a series of international ventures. In Luxembourg, Thomas helped launch Autopass, scaling it across 12 countries before its acquisition by Mobivia Group. In Toronto, he launched Carify, pioneering a Car-as-a-Service model across Canadian dealerships. And in Marseille, he founded Drivata, an AI-powered smart mobility platform. The startup was accelerated by the renowned Tenity incubator in Zurich, a program powered by SIX, Switzerland’s principal stock exchange, placing Drivata at the heart of European fintech and AI innovation.
Today, from Zurich, Thomas is Chief Development Officer and Executive Board Member at Digital Solutions, where he leads strategic growth, IT transformation, and digital innovation across Switzerland.
In startups or scale-ups, in C-suites or international markets, in boardrooms or steering boardroom strategy—Thomas Engler brings a rare blend of strategic clarity, operational discipline, and creative leadership to every challenge he takes on.
